Our After School Program serves James Denman Middle
School students Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to
6:30 PM each day school is open. Students have equal
opportunities through the day to engage in physical
activity/recreation, academics, and enrichment. The OMIE
Beacon also hosts school dances, cultural events, family
nights, and student showcases.
Academics
Each day students must attend a mandatory academic hour
in which they can work on homework/projects, study, read or engage in critical thinking conversation.Students are divided up by grade level and are supported by a combination of
Beacon after school Program Leaders, Denman school day
teachers, as well as a host of Community Partners for 1-1 and small group tutoring: SF EdFund, JCYC and
